Description

The Church of St Lawrence, built in 1739, is a small Georgian church made of red brick with stone dressings. It features a tiled roof with a moulded eaves cornice. The nave has round-arched windows that include keyblocks, imposts, and moulded cills. The west tower is three stages high and has round-arched openings, brick corner pilasters, stone string courses, and a moulded stone round-arched doorway. The top stage of the tower is made of 19th-century brick. There is a small chancel added in 1853, which is also brick and has stone lancets. Inside, the church is said to contain original panelling and benches. The churchyard features some 18th-century headstones.
