Description
Hoo Hall is a timber-framed house dating from the early 17th century or possibly earlier. It features symmetrical patterns of diagonal studding and some vertical close studding below the first-floor window. The building has brick infill panels, with the ground floor and some of the first floor being brick-faced. It has a plain tile roof with gabled ends and is L-shaped in plan. The north wing has an oversailing gable and carved timbers. The house is two storeys tall and includes 18th, 19th, and 20th-century casement windows, some of which are blocked, as well as porches from around the 19th century. Inside, there is panelling in the ground floor room, and the room above features a moulded plaster ceiling adorned with mythical and geometric designs.
