Description
The Elephant and Castle Public House is an early 19th-century painted brick building with a plain tile roof featuring gabled ends. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with the centre and corners projecting slightly forward. The windows are sashes with glazing bars and have rusticated lintels adorned with keyblocks. The ground floor has modern windows set within the original openings. A central pilastered doorcase with an entablature and a panelled door adds to the building's character. There are brick stacks at each end. This building is included for its group value.
