Description
Church Lodge is a small Gothic lodge built around 1860. It features ashlar stone and sham timber framing, topped with a steeply pitched slate roof that has gabled ends adorned with ornate pierced bargeboards. The building is one storey high with an attic. It has stone lancet windows with cusped arches and cornices above, including one window in a narrow stone bay with a small gable. There is also a stone canted bay on the end wall with circular windows. All windows are diamond pane casements. The entrance includes a ledged door with wrought iron hinges and a hood supported by large pierced brackets. A large central ashlar chimney stack completes the design.
