Description
The White House is an early to mid 19th century stuccoed house located on Newport Road in Edgmond. It features a low pitched hipped slate roof with overlapping moulded eaves. The building is marked by giant pilasters at the center and corners, along with a stringcourse. The garden front has two storeys and four bays, with sash windows that include glazing bars. The first floor is flanked by pilasters, while the ground floor has moulded hoods supported by console brackets. There is a two-bay left-hand return that includes a porch with pairs of pilasters and an entablature. At the rear, there are lower two-storey wings, and a ground arched stair sash window faces the road to the northwest. Above the rear, there is a small tower topped with a pyramidal roof.
