Description

Nos 45 and 47 High Street is an early 19th-century building that was formerly known as the Crown Inn. It features a Regency stucco facade and stands three storeys tall. The facade includes three widely spaced sash windows that are set in panels between flat pilasters, which support an entablature band and a parapet topped with a shallow pediment in the center. The ground storey has a projecting shop front with a central pilaster doorcase, which is surmounted by a raised entablature decorated with shell, scroll, and crown ornament. The building is topped with an old tiled roof.
