Description

The wall of slag blocks, dating from around the 19th century, is located on the south side of the road in Ironbridge. It is a long stretch constructed from blocks of furnace slag, with each block measuring approximately 5 feet long, 4 feet high, and 4 feet thick. Each block features a central hole of about 6 inches in diameter. There are some gaps in the wall at various points. This structure is listed for its industrial archaeological interest.
