Description
The railway level crossing gates, located north-north-west of Calcutts House, date from around 1862 or later. They were built for the Severn Valley Railway, which opened on 3 January 1862, and was taken over by the Great Western Railway in 1863. The gates consist of a pair of wooden gates that are braced and mounted on large strap hinges, supported by circular cast iron gate-posts.
