Description
The Round House is a round building that was formerly part of the Wedgwood Pottery works, built around 1769. It is constructed of brick and has a plain-tiled roof. The building is circular in shape and has two storeys. The ground floor features an entrance and a series of windows with flat-arched gauged-brick heads, although some of these windows are blocked and not all are aligned at the same height. The first floor includes oculi. Historically, the Round House has been used for various purposes, including grinding raw materials, serving as a counting house, and functioning as a stable.
