Description
Cemetery Lodge, located on Stoke Road in Hanley, is a building dating from around 1860. It is constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings and features a plain tiled roof adorned with scalloped bands and ridge cresting. The lodge has an asymmetrical layout with two right-angled, two-storey wings and a lean-to porch situated at the angle, which includes an arched entry and a rosette window. The gable features a three-light mullioned and transomed window with a stilted hood-mould, along with a triangular oriel above it. Additionally, there is a canted bay with a stone roof that projects from the other wing, and a truncated stack is positioned at the junction of the two wings. The building is currently used as offices.
