Description
The Cemetery Chapels in Stoke on Trent were built around 1860. They are constructed from pink sandstone and feature plain tiled roofs adorned with ridge cresting and banded scalloped tiles. The design is symmetrical along two axes, with a central triple arched arcade that supports a tower topped with a broad broach and angle pinnacles leading to a spire. The flanking chapels each have five-sided apses on the east and west sides, which include three-light traceried windows on each facet, set beneath coped gablets. Large porches extend from the north and south elevations, featuring doorways with heavy moulding positioned between buttresses.
