Description
Cemetery Lodge, located in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, was built around 1860. It is constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings and features a plain tiled roof adorned with banded scalloped tiles. The lodge has an asymmetrical plan with two storeys and consists of two wings that are set at right angles to each other. The entrance is located in an advanced gabled wing, which is flanked by a turret. The gable features paired lancet mullioned and transomed windows with hood moulds above, along with similar windows of three and two lights in the gable of the other wing. The rear elevation includes a canted bay with a traceried window above it. The gable copings are supported by moulded kneelers.
