Description
Mill House is a farmhouse, now a house, likely built in the late 17th century with later additions and alterations. It features painted brick and uncoursed limestone rubble, topped with a plain tile roof that has raised brick verges. The building has a baffle-entry plan and includes a lower range that extends at right angles to the rear on the left side. It stands two storeys high with a gable-lit attic and has a wide plat band at the first floor. The front has three bays with mid-19th century cross windows, while the ground floor windows have segmental heads, with the central window likely replacing a former doorway. A central red brick ridge stack is present. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey range with a dentilled eaves cornice and a ridge stack, and the entrance is located at the rear in the angle with the main range.
