Description

BOMERE HEATH C.P. - SJ 41 NW 5/44 Terrace retaining wall - approx. 10 metres to south of Yeaton Peverey

GV II

Terrace retaining wall. 1890-2, by Aston Webb. Dressed red sandstone with ashlar details. Approximately 70 metres long, returning to adjoin the house at the west end. Pierced parapet; square dies with globe finials. Bowed projection at west end. Flight of stone steps at right angles to west with stepped parapet to front. This terrace forms part of the original landscape scheme to Yeaton Peverey (q.v.).
