Description
The terrace retaining wall, built between 1890 and 1892 by Aston Webb, is located approximately 10 metres south of Yeaton Peverey. It is made of dressed red sandstone with ashlar details and stretches about 70 metres long, returning to connect with the house at the west end. The wall features a pierced parapet and square dies topped with globe finials. There is a bowed projection at the west end, and a flight of stone steps leads at right angles to the west, accompanied by a stepped parapet at the front. This terrace is part of the original landscape design for Yeaton Peverey.
