Description
This is a pedestal tomb from the 18th century, located 15 metres south of the nave of the Church of All Saints in Neen Sollars. It is made of ashlar stone and features a lid with an octagonal ogee-shaped raised centre on a plain slab with a cornice. The tomb has plain inscribed panels and beaded corner sections, along with a moulded plinth. It commemorates Walter Pooler, who died in 1745, and his wife Susanna, who died in 1754, as well as their son Walter, who died in 1761, and his wife Ann, who died in 1794. Additionally, it commemorates John Giles, who died in 1821, and his wife Mary, who died in 1823, along with their son William, who died in 1824, and John Giles, who died in 1840, and his wife Sarah, who died in 1857.
