Description
The Congregational Church and attached manse, built in 1839 with later additions and alterations, is constructed of stuccoed red brick and features slate roofs. The chapel consists of three bays, while the manse, which is attached to the west end, has a lower-pitched roof and one bay. The chapel is adorned with round-headed, multi-paned cast-iron windows and has a late 19th-century gabled timber porch located between the second and third bays from the west. The manse includes a 16-paned glazing bar sash window on the first floor and a late 20th-century casement window below. Access to the manse is through a 20th-century door on the left-hand side, and there is a brick stack positioned against the west gable end of the chapel.
