Description
Cliffdale House is a house that now serves as a residential home for the elderly. It was built around 1800, with later additions and alterations primarily from the mid-19th century. The building features roughcast walls and slate hipped roofs with wide spreading eaves, along with ridge and valley stacks. The main range consists of three bays, with a set-back one-bay range to the left and a probable one-bay addition to the right. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-window front, predominantly featuring 16-paned glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. The central entrance has a plain rectangular overlight, although the original doorcase has been removed and replaced with a neo-Georgian door in the late 20th century.
