Timlet Lodge with adjoining balustraded walls flanking entrance and garden gate to south

Timlet Lodge, built around 1904, is a lodge with adjoining balustraded walls that flank the entrance and garden gate to the south. It is likely designed by Sir Ernest George and Yates. The building features a pebbledash exterior and tiled roofs, following a T-plan layout in a restrained Arts and Crafts style. It stands one and a half storeys tall, with gables that have moulded barge boards and carved pendants. The windows are leaded oak casements with moulded cornices, featuring two-light windows on the ground floor flanking a central porch, and three-light windows in the gables. The central gabled porch has a Tudor arch to the right, and there is an off-centre chimney to the right at the rear. A balustraded wall made of ashlar extends from the doorway, featuring 17th-century style balusters in two parts, separated by gates (which are not included in the listing). There is also an Arts and Crafts oak garden gate to the south, with oak standards leading to a chain link boundary fence. This lodge serves as the entrance to Ruckley Grange.
