Description

No. 23 Dogpole is a shop building from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick, and the roof is not visible behind the parapet. The building has three storeys and features a three-window range. The early 20th-century shop front includes moulded architraves and a dentilled fascia supported by console brackets. The fascia extends across a round-arched entrance to Kenneth Court on the right, which is adorned with wrought-ironwork forming a tympanum. The upper windows are four-pane sashes with flat-arched gauged brick heads. At the eaves, there is a plain parapet topped with urns.
