Description

No. 17 Wyle Cop is a shop building dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a four-window range. The shop front, which dates to around 1900, includes slim cast-iron columns and a fascia with moulded consoles. The upper windows are sash windows with two upper panes, lacking glazing bars in the lower pane, and are set within moulded wood architraves. There is a modillion eaves cornice, and two dormers in the roof, with the left dormer cutting through the eaves band. The gables are coped and feature moulded stone kneelers.
