Description
Yockleton Mill and Cottage is a watermill and miller's house dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble with brick dentil eaves and features slate roofs with gabled ends. It has brick axial and gable end stacks. The mill has a rectangular plan, while the miller's house, attached to the northwest end, has an L-shaped plan.
The exterior of the three-storey mill includes small segmental brick arch windows. The L-shaped mill house on the northwest side has a gable-ended wing on the left with small casements and a brick gable end stack. The main range on the right features a two-light casement and a glazed and panelled door set in segmentally brick arch openings.
Inside, the mill house is reported to be largely intact, retaining much of its original joinery. In the mill, some machinery remains, including two stones.
