Description
This is an 18th-century barn located approximately 20 metres south of the churchyard of the Church of Holy Trinity in Tugford. The barn features a weatherboarded timber frame set on a coursed rubble plinth and an uncoursed rubble plinth, topped with a plain-tile roof. It has a five-bay plan, with a rear addition, and is a single storey with a loft. The north side of the barn has central barn doors, with boarded doors to the loft on either side. Inside, the barn has a double trenched-purlin roof, with internal trusses consisting of twin raking struts and a tie beam. The end truss includes a tie beam, vertical struts, a collar, and twin raking struts above.
