Description
Moor Hall is a house dating from around 1800, featuring a painted roughcast render exterior and a hipped slate roof with deep eaves. The building has a main block flanked by two recessed blocks.
The south front is two storeys high with a five-window range of 6/6 sash windows and a central portico. The ground-floor windows have applied timber architraves, and both floors feature applied decorated pendant headboards. The portico is supported by four Tuscan columns and has a plain entablature with a cornice, with glazed infill between the columns. Behind the columns, there are plain pilasters and a pair of panelled doors with perimeter glazing and top lights.
The return sides of the house have two-window ranges with 6/6 sash windows, and a blank window on the first floor above 20th-century bay windows and French windows on the ground floor. The west flanking block has a two-window range with a 6/6 sash window on the left, 20th-century replacement casements on the right, and 20th-century French windows on the ground floor. The east flanking block is similar but has a 2/2:6/6:2/2 sash window on the ground floor right. The return side of the flanking block features a 6/6 sash window above a large ground-floor bay window.
At the rear, the flanking blocks on either side of the recessed main range are two-storey, single-window ranges of 6/6 sashes, with a single-window range of the same type on each return wall of the recessed main block. The main block has an 8/8 sash window with an inserted casement and a glazed 20th-century door to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
