Description

The Redfern Hotel is a mid-18th century house, which was later used as an inn and is now a hotel. It is located on Lower Street in Cleobury Mortimer. The front of the building is brick, with corbelled eaves and a brick west side; the east side and rear are of uncoursed stone rubble. The roof is covered in plain tiles, and there are two integral brick gable-end stacks. A front range leads to rear extensions.

The exterior is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. The windows are 3-light transomed casements, with a single mullion and transomed casement at the centre, all with stone lintels featuring raised keyblocks. A central six-panelled door is sheltered by a projecting pedimented canopy. There are two 20th-century tiled gabled dormers with 3-light casements. The rear of the building is largely obscured by 20th-century extensions.

The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
