Description

42A Broad Street is a house that features an early 18th-century front, built onto an earlier core. The building is made of painted brick and has a plain tile roof, with two brick stacks at the rear. It is two stories tall with an attic and has a one-window range. The front includes a three-over-six sash window in a broad case beneath a soldier arch. There is a brick gable dormer that contains a two-light casement window in an oak case, also under a soldier arch. To the left, there is a 20th-century glazed door in a plain case, set under a segmental arch. To the right, there is a six-over-six sash window under a shallower segmental arch, with a storey band above.
