Description

Ivy House is a house, which was formerly an inn, built in 1796, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and has a slate roof featuring raised verges and end stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a lower range extending at right angles to the rear on the left side. It stands three storeys tall and has a dentilled eaves cornice. The front has three windows, which are mid-19th century casements with late 18th century segmental heads. There is a central entrance with a six-panel door and a rectangular overlight, all sheltered by a gabled timber porch. A datestone is located above the central first-floor window.
