Description

Dorrington House is a house dating to approximately 1800, likely built upon the foundations of an earlier structure, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick with slate roofs, the front being hipped and concealed behind a coped stone parapet, and features end stacks. The rear consists of a long, low two-storey range, likely part of an 18th-century house to which a three-bay canted front was added around 1800. The front facade has three storeys and three windows, with mid-19th century cross-paned sash windows featuring gauged heads dating from around 1800. A mid-19th century half-glazed door with Gothic glazing in a rectangular overlight, also dating from around 1800, sits at the central entrance and is sheltered by a 20th-century glazed porch.
