Description

No. 4 Bromfield is a house dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a plain tile roof and features octagonal paired brick stacks at the ends and rear. The building has a T-shaped plan and is single-storey with an attic. On the right side, there is a 20th-century door set in an ashlar case within a gabled porch that has scalloped barge-boards and a spike finial. To the left, there is a wood mullion and transom window with glazing bars. The house includes two gable dormers, each with 2-light casements positioned under deep eaves. There is a single-storey wing on the left side, which has double garage doors at the rear. All gables are adorned with scalloped barge-boards and spike finials.
