Description

This is a group of four chest tombs located approximately 5 meters north of the nave of the Church of St Mary. They date from around 1819, 1822, 1832, and 1837 and are made of sandstone. Each tomb is rectangular in shape, featuring moulded plinths and chamfered top ledgers. The two tombs on the south side have square corner pilasters, while the two on the north side have fluted corner pilasters. The tombs to the north commemorate various members of the Pothan family, and those to the south commemorate members of the Mawn family.
