Description

This is an urn located approximately 67 metres to the south-west of Loton Park, dating from around 1840. It is made of red sandstone and designed in the Gothic style. The urn has an octagonal shape with a moulded base and bowl, featuring quatre-foil-in-lozenge side panels. It is one of a pair of urns that contribute to the formal layout of the forecourt at Loton Park. The urn shares stylistic similarities with the urn finials on the piers in the forecourt retaining wall. It is included in the listing for its group value.
