Description

Council House Cottage, formerly part of the Old Council House, is a house that dates from the 15th to 17th centuries, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared sandstone rubble and brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. The ground floor features stonework, a doorway on the right, and two sash windows with single ring cambered brick heads. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes with segmentally-arched heads. There is an axial stack, and the building includes part of the hall from the Old Council House, which was subdivided in the 19th century.
