Description
The kitchen garden wall, along with an attached wall to the north, dates from the late 18th century and is located to the south-east of Sweeney Hall. It is constructed of red brick with stone coping and encloses a square garden area measuring approximately 80 meters by 80 meters. The wall features rounded corners and segmental-headed entrances on the south, east, and west sides, which are topped with round-cornered brick projections and thin flat stone lintels. On the north side, there are two heating flues that also function as chimneys for fireplaces in the range of attached stone and brick outbuildings. Additionally, there is a short spur of wall attached to the north, which has stone coping and ramps down to gates, terminating in a small gabled building that adjoins the barn.
