Description

ELLESMERE RURAL C.P. HARDWICK SJ 33 SE 8/118 Kitchen garden wall - approx. 130m north-west of Hardwick Hall GV II Kitchen garden wall. Late C18 with minor later repairs. Red brick (English garden wall bond) with sandstone coping, except for north side which also has graded slates beneath sandstone coping. Divided into 2 sections, west part enclosing roughly rectangular-shaped area of approximately 100 x 60m with smaller triangular area abutting to east. Eastern side of triangular area has plinth and narrow pier buttresses to outside.
