Description
The kitchen garden wall, located approximately 130 metres north-west of Hardwick Hall, dates from the late 18th century and has undergone minor repairs. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond, topped with sandstone coping. The northern side features graded slates beneath the sandstone coping. The wall is divided into two sections; the western part encloses a roughly rectangular area measuring about 100 by 60 metres, while a smaller triangular area is attached to the east. The eastern side of the triangular area includes a plinth and narrow pier buttresses on the outside.
