Description
Crickett Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, with an extension added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with stacks located in the roof slope on both the left and right sides. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a lower range that includes an integral end stack at the rear on the right side, and a late 19th-century addition that is slightly set back to the right.
The farmhouse stands three storeys high and has a moulded stone eaves cornice at the front, along with dentilled eaves cornices on the sides. The façade consists of three bays, with the outer windows set in slightly projecting breaks. The windows are glazing bar sashes, featuring plain stone wedge lintels on the first and second floors, with the latter having reduced proportions. The ground floor has 16-paned sashes topped with fluted semi-circular tympana. The central entrance is marked by a plain open-pedimented doorcase that holds a half-glazed door. The late 19th-century two-storey range to the right is designed in a style similar to the original part from around 1800.
