Description
This is a barn located approximately 20 meters north of Woodside Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. The structure features a weatherboarded and corrugated iron-clad timber frame set on a rubblestone plinth, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It serves as a threshing barn with a hay-loft above cow stalls in the two eastern bays. The south side has various doorways and window openings, with a 20th-century lean-to made of corrugated iron and concrete blocks roughly in the center. Inside, the framing is visible, consisting of vertical posts and square panels. The roof has a single purlin design across six bays, with raking struts connecting the tie beams to the principal rafters. The loft in the two eastern bays is supported by large branches running along the length of the barn, with smaller branches crossing at right angles. There is another loft in the western bay and a raised threshing floor in the third bay from the west.
