Description
Turkey Hall is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from around 1800, with an extension to the left added shortly afterwards and some minor later alterations. The building is constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble with a red brick facade and features a hipped slate roof, complemented by a red brick ridge stack located to the left of center and integral brick end stacks. The original three-bay house appears to have been extended to the left in the early 19th century, although there is no visible straight joint at the front. It stands two storeys high with a dentilled eaves cornice and has a four-window front, with the leftmost window positioned at the far left. The windows are glazing bar sashes with gauged heads. The original central round-arched entrance features a six-panel door and a wreathed and radiating fanlight, which is similar to that found at Weir House.
