Description
This barn, located approximately 25 meters south of The Firs, dates from the mid-17th century and has undergone later alterations. It features a timber frame with red brick infill and some partial rebuilding, along with corrugated iron cladding on the right and a corrugated iron roof. The framing consists of square panels with two and three sections from the cill to the wall-plate, and there are later internal long straight tension braces. The barn has stable doors on the far left and to the right of the center, with a fixed-light window directly below the eaves to the left of the latter. The interior is open to the roof and has a queen-strut roof supported by four bays, with V-struts extending from the collar to the right gable end. It also includes single purlins, short straight windbraces, and several reused timbers. The Firs is not included in this listing.
