Description
This is a pedestal tomb dedicated to Dinah Tomlinson, located 8 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Margaret. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features a stepped shallow pyramid lid topped with a pyramid finial. Each side has an oval inscribed panel and spandrels adorned with a carved gadrooned sunburst pattern. The memorial commemorates Dinah, who was the wife of William Tomlinson and passed away in 1826.
