Description

Onibury Station and platform rooms, now functioning as a guesthouse, date from the later 19th century. The building is constructed of ashlar sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof with a gable facing the platform, along with three ornamented ashlar chimney stacks.

The exterior is two storeys high and presents a single-window range, featuring a margin-glazed cross-window with casements beneath an ashlar lintel, and a sill band. The bargeboards are moulded and pierced, adorned with an enriched pendant finial. The entrance is located in a lean-to porch on the left, which includes a 20th-century door and a margin-glazed overlight, all under a moulded and pierced eaves-board with a returned band above.

On the left side, there are two advanced gabled wings, each with a returned band and three similar cross-windows, along with matching bargeboards and finials. A single-storey lean-to with a smaller cross-window is also present. To the right, there is a single-storey wing that was formerly a waiting room, featuring three similar cross-windows and a half-glazed panelled door beneath a chamfered ashlar lintel. This door is sheltered by a gabled porch hood, which has moulded and pierced bargeboards and an enriched pendant finial, with a spike finial atop the gable.

At the rear, there are three similar cross-windows, a returned band, and moulded bargeboards with finials on the gables. The interior has not been inspected.
