Description
This is a house dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with some 19th-century alterations. It features a timber-frame and plaster construction sitting on a rubble plinth, with yellow sandstone rubble and a plain tile roof that has a gable to the right. The building is T-shaped in plan and has two storeys.
The front has a single-window range with a 20th-century three-light casement window set on a prominent moulded sill, supported by a central moulded console. There is a shallow jetty at the eaves, featuring a moulded bressumer on projecting wall plates that rest on curved brackets. A 20th-century three-light casement window is located in a reduced opening on the ground floor, positioned beneath a stop-moulded bressumer supported by scrolled consoles.
To the left, there is a 19th-century rubble wing that includes a two-light casement window with 20th-century glazing, as well as a 19th-century two-light casement window in the gable. The right side has a 19th-century plank door and a two-light casement window. At the rear, there is a 19th-century plank door set in a chamfered frame. Inside, there is a stop-chamfered spine beam.
