Description

This description is for a pump and basin located approximately one metre north of White Abbey Farmhouse. The pump and basin date from the mid to late 19th century. The pump is made of painted cast iron and features a circular shaft with moulded rings, a fluted top, a splayed spout, a curved handle, and a fluted domed cap topped with a spike finial. The basin is square and constructed from grey sandstone. This structure is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
