Description

This is a pump and basin located approximately 3 metres to the west of Home Farmhouse in Cardington, Enchmarsh. The pump is made of painted cast iron and dates from the mid- to late 19th century. It features a circular shaft with moulded rings, a fluted top with a splayed spout and a double-curved handle, as well as a fluted domed cap topped with a knob finial. The basin is made of grey sandstone and has a rounded end. This structure is included for its group value.
