GV II

House. Late C16 or C17 with mid-to late C19 alterations and additions. Timber framed, weatherboarded to right and with painted brick nogging to left; partially rebuilt and refaced in painted brick; corrugated iron roof over thatch. T-plan; hall range, with gabled cross-wing to left. One storey and attic. Central brick ridge stack. Framing: square panels; collar and tie-beam truss with queen-struts and V-struts exposed in cross- wing gable. Cross-wing has one late Cl9 two-light wooden casement on each floor and boarded door to left. Late C19 brick outhouse projecting at right-angles to right of cross-wing with integral end stack and boarded door in left-hand return front. Unfenestrated 'hall' range to right. Framing exposed from sole-plate to wall-plate at rear of cross-wing. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
