Description

The boundary marker located on Newport Road is a historical structure that marks the boundary between the parishes of Donington and Tong. It likely dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The marker is a low rectangular pillar topped with a pyramidal shape, featuring the incised letters "GD/B" on the side facing Tong. It is believed to have been erected by either the first or second George Durant of Tong Castle.
