Description
Galliers Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the early 19th century that incorporates parts of an earlier house. It is built of red brick and has a slate roof with one stack at the right end and another to the left behind the ridge. The house is L-shaped, with a short range at right angles to the rear on the left. There is a lower L-shaped block behind to the right that has a 19th-century appearance but likely belongs to the earlier structure. The farmhouse is two storeys high and features a three-window front with glazing-bar sashes that have gauged heads. The central entrance has a pedimented doorcase with a half-glazed door and a fanlight. The early 19th-century remodelling was likely done for Richard France, whose son founded the nearby non-conformist chapel in 1828.
