Miller's house. Early C17 with C19 and C20 alterations. Timber frame with rendered infill panels, brick, tiled roof, 2 brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic. One bay range (truncated hall?) and slightly later 2 bay cross range. Square panel framing to south and west walls with tension braces to cross wing. The north gable wall of the hall range and extension to east built c19 in brick. Chimney stack at east gable end of cross range rebuilt as double star plan shafts linked by offset capping. West gable wall of cross range has first floor jetty with moulded bressumer and upper corner posts supported on c20 carved brackets replacing originals. Below bressumer a timber canted oriel of 5 lights on a richly moulded late c16 sill supported on 2 carved brackets. The sill is a salvaged piece from another building. A 3-light casement to first floor above and 2-light casement in gable. All timber casements are c20 with leadlights. Internally, several walls on both floors have early c17 panelling with carved frieze panels said to have come from Detton Hall.
