Description

This is a farmhouse, now a house, likely dating from the late 17th century, with a refronting in the late 18th century and later additions and alterations. The construction is timber frame, with roughcast on the rear and red brick to the front and left gable end, covered by a slate roof. The building follows a 2-cell central baffle-entry plan, extending over two storeys with a gable-lit attic. The front features early 20th-century leaded casement windows within 18th-century segmental-headed openings, flanking a roughly central 20th-century plank front door. A red brick ridge stack is present. A fragmentary collar and tie beam truss is visible in the left gable end. Early 19th-century leaded casements are found to the rear on the first floor. A full-length lean-to addition to the rear is not of particular architectural interest.
