Description
This is a house located at 23 Broad Street, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stucco with brick stacks at both ends and one at the rear. The building stands three storeys high and features a four-window range with 6/6 sash windows set in beaded cases, two of which are early 20th century replacements. The façade is enhanced by pilasters and a moulded cornice that returns to the left towards Brand Lane, topped with a stone-coped parapet that also returns to the gables. The entrance, situated to the right of the centre, consists of a six-fielded panel door within a moulded case, accompanied by an overlight and a moulded flat hood supported by consoles and pilasters. Additionally, the house includes three 6/6 sash windows. It is worth noting that No. 10 Brand Lane is now part of this house.
