Description

The limekilns, located at the National Grid Reference SJ 2691 2191, are probably from the early 19th century. They are constructed from roughly coursed and dressed limestone rubble, with red brick used for the arches. The structure features a high revetment wall that supports three round-headed kilns. In front of the kilns, there is a platform with a low retaining wall. This site is a well-preserved example of its type.
