Description

Hoffman Chimney is a disused smelt flue chimney built in 1899. It is constructed of red brick in English Garden wall bond and is reinforced with iron ties. The chimney has a square section that slightly tapers towards the top, featuring a slightly chamfered plinth and a moulded capping. On the north side of the plinth, there is a round-arched stoke hole that connects the chimney to the Hoffman Kiln located to the north. This structure serves as a prominent landmark in the area. It is recorded in the Salop County Sites and Monuments Record with the reference number 3815.
